Susan B. Anthony List Endorses Tom Feeney

(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) issued the following statement after the news that he received the endorsement of the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund:

"I am thrilled to receive the endorsement from the Susan B. Anthony List for my pro-life record and commitment to preventing irresponsible use of taxpayer dollars. I strongly believe that it is wrong to use federal taxpayer dollars for procedures which offend the morals and ethics of millions of Americans.

"Through education and increased awareness, the number of unwanted pregnancies can be reduced. In addition, we must encourage alternatives to all abortion such as programs that promote adoption. Through this approach, we can alleviate many of the circumstances that contribute to the distressingly high number of abortions in this country," said Feeney.

He maintains a 100% pro-life voting record, and is co-sponsor to numerous pieces of pro-life legislation, including the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act (H.R. 3442), the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (H.R. 4133), the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (H.R. 1063), and the Adoption Tax Relief Guarantee Act (H.R. 471), among others.
