The TAX and SPEND DEMS ARE BACK...
HIDE YOUR WALLETS
(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) today urged hardworking taxpayers to hide their wallets now that Congress has returned from Thanksgiving. American families will face a final push from tax and spend Democrats who insist on continuing to consider legislation that rightfully does not sit well with Americans.
"2007 has clearly been the year of pitiful priorities and Democrats insist on putting the final nail in American taxpayers' coffin before Christmas. Thanks to their inaction, over 50 million taxpayers will see their tax refunds arrive late and 23 million may now face the alternative minimum tax. Additionally, our troops, military retirees and veterans still do not have the funding they deserve," said Feeney.
FEENEY FIGHTING FOR:
- America's brave men and women currently in uniform, retirees, and veterans
Feeney supports the Wicker-Lewis stand-alone MilCon-VA legislation. Contains the funding for the Orlando VA Hospital
- Hardworking Taxpayers NOT Illegal Immigrants
Voted against SCHIP, Sponsor of More Children, More Choices Act, Cosponsor of the SAVE Act to Secure our Border NOW
- Sales Tax Deductibility
Feeney co-sponsor of the Mobile Workforce State Income Tax Fairness and Simplification Act of 2007
- Protect Hardworking Taxpayers
Feeney supports the Taxpayer Choice Act to eliminate massive future tax increases by repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax; and provides individuals a choice for an alternative tax system that is transparent, simple and efficient.
- A Balanced Budget for American Families
Supported every 2007 Flake Amendment to Strike Wasteful Earmarks from Appropriations Bills
Co-introduced the RSC budget to include pro-growth tax policy and balance the budget by FY 2011Signed and led the efforts on a letter to the President pledging to sustain any veto he issues of Democrat passed-spending bills that exceed the White House budget request
DEMS DO-NOTHING FOR:
- America's troops, veterans, and retirees
Fail to pass Mil-Con Bill to fund their needs
- Hardworking taxpayers other than give their money to illegal immigrants
DREAM Act, SCHIP loophole
- Florida's sales tax deductibility
Will expire unless renewed in the tax extenders bill
- The 23 million hardworking taxpayers about to be impacted by the AMT
Failed to enact an AMT patch
- The 32 million taxpayers who will now receive their tax refunds LATE
32 million refunds worth a total of about $87 billion
- The out of control spending impacting hardworking American families
Plans to tax everyone and everything AND an irresponsible budget that has Florida taxpayers facing a $3,039 tax increase
