FEENEY WELCOMES SPACE FLORIDA LAUNCH SITE

"Today's announcement is a tremendous step forward and helps pave the way for making Florida's Space Coast the preferred launch site for a new generation of space launch vehicles. Such an expansion provides new business opportunities that will be needed after the Shuttle's retirement in 2010.

"I commend Space Florida and its CEO, Steve Kohler, for developing this concept and aggressively pushing it forward. I also appreciate the Air Force's willingness to provide commercial ventures with improved access to Cape Canaveral sites along with needed technical support.
